One of my favorite foods in the whole world is fresh homemade guacamole! I just happen to know it’s a favorite of many of you too.

I’ve been making homemade guacamole for awhile now. Last week I finally remembered to take photos so I could share the recipe with you.

It’s totally a favorite around here!

Everyone’s Favorite Homemade Guacamole Recipe

Everyone's Favorite Homemade Guacamole

Yield: 8 people
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Make this fresh homemade guacamole for the big game – or anytime!


  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 plum tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • a few snips cilantro
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • salt to taste


  1. Cut avocados in half, set the pit aside and mash with a fork in a medium sized bowl. mashing avocados
  2. Add tomato, onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Stir. squeezing lime juice into guacamole
  3. Serve with corn chips or even rice crackers (great alternative if you can't tolerate corn). Enjoy! guacamole in glass dish

If you are preparing this for company (to prevent browning/oxidization) place reserved pit on top of guacamole and cover tightly with plastic wrap, pressing plastic to surface of guacamole.

I may or may not have been known to eat guacamole with crackers for lunch. Just sayin’.
