One of my favorite foods in the whole world is fresh homemade guacamole! I just happen to know it’s a favorite of many of you too.
I’ve been making homemade guacamole for awhile now. Last week I finally remembered to take photos so I could share the recipe with you.
It’s totally a favorite around here!

Make this fresh homemade guacamole for the big game – or anytime!
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 plum tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- a few snips cilantro
- juice of 1/2 a lime
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, set the pit aside and mash with a fork in a medium sized bowl.
- Add tomato, onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt. Stir.
- Serve with corn chips or even rice crackers (great alternative if you can't tolerate corn). Enjoy!

If you are preparing this for company (to prevent browning/oxidization) place reserved pit on top of guacamole and cover tightly with plastic wrap, pressing plastic to surface of guacamole.
I may or may not have been known to eat guacamole with crackers for lunch. Just sayin’.
