With spring comes changing out some of our tabletop decor. This is my favorite farmhouse style neutral sideboard decor so far!
We’re nearing the end of winter. (Can I get an ‘Amen!’) To this homebody that means it’s time to change out some of our regular decor for slightly more seasonal pieces. Like this little farmhouse style neutral sideboard vignette that I created this week.
Farmhouse Style Neutral Sideboard
The piece that started the whole thing was this vintage chicken feeder looking plate rack. I’d seen them online, but never quite got around to ordering one. Then when I popped into Michaels to see what spring goodies they had, I found this one for 40% off. I loaded it with my summer Rae Dunn plates and set it right there in the middle of the sideboard.
Actually, a lot of this little display unintentionally came from Michaels. (Not a sponsored post.) The baskets underneath the sideboard, the little vases with faux greens, the antique looking spindles. Even the clay pots!
Of course the table itself was thrown together by Dean one weekend a couple of years ago now. The lamps came from Lowe’s. And the clock can be found here.
Sometimes, I really don’t feel like swapping out decor pieces with the seasons. But inevitably I feel better about the house after I do. And it was much easier this week, since we’d just cleaned out my decor storage room and streamlined everything. Our youngest – bless her organization loving heart – even labelled all my rubbermaid totes with the label maker!

I spy #raedunn! Love your sideboard style, matte finish beside the reflective glass in your cabinet, which I also love. Where did you find your plate stand?
Melissa Butler Cahoon Thank you! The plate stand was from Michaels Stores. (All the sources for everything can be found in the blog post.)
That chunky knitted blanket 🖤 Love your dinning space
Desiree Velez thank you Desiree!
Hi Shannon! What a beautiful space! I love all of the black and white elements!
Thanks, Jen!
Cute cute cute!! I love the clock and the display for the plates is so neat!
Thank you, Rhonda!
Hey Shannon, what a fun space. I love the plate rack and your chunky knit blanket. I’ve been meaning to make/buy one of those for three years now and here we are nearing the end of winter again and I haven’t purchased…I blame it on the fact that I want to touch it and check out the “soft” before I buy and I just don’t get out enough LOL
Lol. I don’t get out much either! I do so much shopping online these days!
Your sideboard is awesome! Love that there is plenty of storage room with the lower shelf.😊
Laura Johnson thank you!
I want that blanket! 😍
🙂 It’s a fun one that’s for sure!
Looks lovely Shannon! That chicken feeder is awesome…what a great way to display your plates!
Yes that blanket is so dreamy! Love it

Amei o aparador e seu lindo blog.
Tenha um ótimo fim de semana.
Such a party neutral spring vignette. Love the new plate holder. Looks great, as always!
LOVE your cozy spring decor. I agree I don’t like changing all my decor all the time. Just some simple changes to freshen things up. xx
Thank you, sweet Danielle!
Beautiful! That cozy blanket is amazing!! I kinda crave change in my life, so I do enjoy the new seasonal changes… though when I’m in the midst of the switch over I don’t always love it at that second. When it’s done, I do 🙂
Hi
I love your article and I like your take on seasonal changes.
I’d like your opinion (if possible) on the decor that I make. I can also make one specifically for you as a gift if you’d like.
