The New Moroccan Trellis Rug in the Living Room

Did you notice it last week in our Spring Decorating in the Living Room post?

Did you notice that the old white shag area rug was gone and there was a subtle tan wool Moroccan trellis rug from Rugs USA in its place?

The old rug wasn’t bad per se.

But it had to be picked up for a few months following the arrival of our puppy, Jackson.

He had a thing for all those loose strings!

When we figured he could (almost) be trusted again, I wanted to try a slightly different look in the living room.

Something comfortable but a little more dressed up than shag.

We chose the “tan” option as it just goes so well with the existing floors, wall color and furnishings. And we chose wool for it’s durability.

Now wool rugs do shed for a few months and can be kinda frustrating. But we’ve got a solution for that too! Stay tuned…

Do you have area rugs in your house? What do you love about yours?

P.S. If your doggie likes to chew the rug, get some Bitter Apple spray (not the no-name stuff) and spray everything. Works like a charm. Our rug is totally fine with it, but be sure to test spray in an inconspicuous are first like we did.

Thank you RugsUSA for sending us our Moroccan Trellis Rug and underpad!

I'd love it if you'd share:

I'd love to chat with you in the comments!

hey I’m wanting to get this rug and wondering if you think it could go with grey and tans?? I’m slowing turning things into a more grey but still have some Browns. I want a rug that I can transition. Does that make sense?
