In this Post:  We get asked all the time what paint colors we use in our house. Here’s our home’s paint colors, that together make up a neutral whole home color palette.

Y’all have been asking us for ages for a neutral whole home color palette and we aim to please. So, here is our very own home’s color palette filled with lots of lovely, layered neutral paint colors.

(Side note: when I said y’all to my nephew the other day, he asked if I was Texas. Literally “are you texas”. Bless his heart! I said, “no sweetie, I just say a couple of words southern.” )

Our Neutral Home Color Palette

You’ll notice that several of the colors are from Sherwin Williams. This just happened because I like their paint and I actually ordered and picked up about 80% of our home’s paint on the same day shortly after we moved in almost two years ago!

  1. I absolutely love love love neutral colour schemes but cant seem to find a way to make it exciting! youve done it, I finally found a post where the neutral colours are inviting rather than boring 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing

    1. Love these combos. I live in San Diego where my walls are not smooth, but have an orange peel type texture on all of my walls. Any advice with this type of wall texture regarding colors and paint type?

    2. Hi there, I don’t think the texture makes a difference in the color you choose. Aside from it maybe giving more dimension even to the color. As for paint type, that’s a bit trickier. My recommendation would be to talk with your local paint retailer and ask them what would work best in your space. I always chat about room and lifestyle specifics with ours before I buy paint.

  2. My, I love your paint color choices you selected. Thanks for sharing. they look fab, and I plan to use some of these colors.

  3. Love Eider White! We have it throughout the house and it’s amazing how versatile it is. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thanks so much, this is wonderful.
What sheen do you use on the walls of your different rooms and on your trim?

    1. Hi Stacey,
We typically use eggshell on walls and doors and satin on trim. You could go up to a semi-gloss for trim and doors, but we don’t as I find it too shiny.
