12 fall essential oil blends for diffusers

Why I recommend a Cold Air Diffuser

What I love about diffusing Oils (beyond the lack of a headache) instead of burning candles is some of the Oils offer antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties! It is my absolute favorite reason why I love essential oils! Combine these oils in a cold air diffuser, and let your home begin to fill with Fall aroma in minutes.

When you use a cold air diffuser you can gain the amazing aroma from the oils but you also still can receive the therapeutic benefits. Cold air diffusers don’t heat the oil, and the essential oils remain intact! It is the best option for diffusing!

Where to Buy Essential Oils

I get my essential oils from a few places. I get some from Young Living Essential Oils – particularly their Thieves products. And sometimes I’ll pick up a bottle or two from the local health food store if I happen to need some while I’m there.

But mostly I order my essential oils from Amazon! Check them out using the links below. (Affiliate links)

  1. Thanks for putting this together Shannon. I’ll definitely be trying some of these out once we get moved and I actually find my diffuser once again.

  2. Thanks for putting this together. I’m curious about the cold air diffusers and have a few questions. I actually had one on my cart at the store then decided against it until I could do more research on them. My main concern, do they omit a mist so that I have to be careful where or what to place the diffuser on? Also, if the oil isn’t heating up how does it make the scent fragrant?

    Thanks for your help.
    Donna

    1. I’m fairly certain most diffusers omit a bit of a mist. I don’t find ours to be too bad, but I do tend to run it in the bathroom or bedroom. I’m not sure of the exact science behind it, but they do indeed make it smell delicious! Maybe Google around for a few articles? Sorry I can’t be more helpful than that!

  3. I am relatively new to essential oils. I have been getting mine from Well.ca.
Free shipping over $35.00 CAN. I try to buy mostly the NOW brand, but there are a few I decided on a different brand. There are lots of comments and information there. You can also order other things like food items etc.
Thank you for the recipes. I am going to try them out, as soon as my diffuser is working again.

  4. Shannon is there a way to print this off. I like having it in print in my hands. Thank you for such a great list! Cynthia E

  5. I’ve been debating on a diffuser for so long and I think I’m going to take the plunge. My hubby uses candle melts, but I hate the mess. This sounds like a far better option.

  6. I started playing with EO’s last year and didn’t have quite all the right oils and some of my combos were a bit lacking so I’m excited to try yours. And I could hug you Shannon for not being all stuck on one expensive brand. Thanks so much for all the recipes!

  7. Fall scents are my all time favorite. Appreciate you putting all these together and I look forward to trying them. Could you use these in a scent burner as well? Thank you so much! Shelly

  8. I have just found your website (due to covid19!) and I am absolutely overwhelmed! Thank you!! I have a 3 liter cold diffuser and I would like to know how many drops per liter/millileter (or oz as I can convert) is needed of each blend for my diffuser

    1. Hi Mathilda,

I hope you mean overwhelmed in a good way? 🙂 How much of each blend you need would totally depend on how strong you’d like it to be! So, try the blend you like with the drops as listed here, and then increase proportionally if it’s not strong enough! 🙂

  9. Which brand of essential oil should I use in a DIY reed diffuser. I’ve tried Tisserand and can’t smell them. I’ve read that grade v is best but which are these please.

  10. Hello! Thank you for this really interesting and useful article. This article really makes me want to get more oils!! You make them all sound wonderful! My favorites are Spiced Cider, Cold Relief, Into The Woods (definitely sounds like a perfect spring blend!), Autumn Fir (citrus is one of my favorite scents!), Holiday Cookie (love a good cookie scent!). You did so great at describing each blend! Thank you one more time!)
