How to Make Essential Oil Room Sprays
Homemade room sprays are easier to make than you think! With some simple mixing and twelve essential oil blends to choose from, your home will smell deliciously like fall in no time!
I make my sprays in small 2 oz spray bottles, which can be found on Amazon here.
To make a single bottle of room spray
Here’s what you need for each bottle of room spray. Just repeat theses steps for any additional bottles you’d like to make.
Supplies
- 1 pinch of epsom salts
- Distilled water
- Choice of essential oil blend (see fall blends below)
- Small funnel
Instructions
- In a small bowl, add a pinch of epsom salts.
- Add in your favorite essential oil blend using one of the ‘recipes’ below.
- Fill a small bottle with distilled, room temperature water.
- Add the fragrant salts. Shake.
- Finish with a label (see below).
Why add epsom salts to essential oil room sprays? I’m sure you have heard the water and oil don’t mix and the same is true for essential oils. The salts help to keep the essential oils emulsified in the water.

Supplies
- Avery Matte White #8293 Labels (These Avery labels are the perfect size for these bottled room sprays!)
- Printer
- Free printable labels (below). Just right click to save each one to your computer.
Instructions
- To print the labels, head to the Avery website and upload the images into their label printer.
- Or download the 8293 template for the format/program (Word, PDF, etc.) you’d like to work in. Then add your images and print!
