This weekend we celebrate the death and resurrection of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
We don't celebrate cute little bunnies or the deliciousness of chocolate. Although those things are good. But they are the created, not the Creator.
We haven't talked much about our faith here on the blog because Home Made Lovely is about decorating, DIY projects and home. And quite frankly I was more worried about offending someone than I was about sharing what I am called to share through my life, my work and my words.
But yesterday I began to experience freedom unlike any I have ever known in my entire life. I will not go into the details here, but I will say that things that have burdened me and haunted me – either from the day I was born or sometime after that – are no longer around. And it feels really really good.
Because of that we will be celebrating Easter with a very real, very thankful zealousness this year. And I hope beyond hope (and pray desperate prayers) that you will be celebrating that way too.
And if you don't have a place to be on Sunday morning at 10 AM, Dean and I would love to have you join us at our home church to celebrate Easter in COLOUR. Just shoot us a message or leave us a comment and we'd be happy to meet you at the doors!
With much love…
