Have you ever wanted to try something new, but didn't quite know if you'd be good at it?
Did you let that fear of “not good enough” hold you back?
Well on a small scale, I challenged that fear this month. And I took a class. A real in-person class. I don't know when I last did that!
Honestly I'm always taking online classes. Those are easy. I don't have to get out of my pajamas to take online classes!
But a real class?
Turns out it was really quite a lot of fun.
So what class did I take? A mixed media journal cover class for free at Michaels.
It was easy to register and I just picked up the supplies about fifteen minutes before the start of my class. I always use art journals as notebooks for phone conversation notes and drawings for all of my decorating ideas and blog ideas anyway. Now I have an inspiring decorated version to use!
I added the rustic tag to remind me things don't have to be perfect. A reminder I could use frequently!
One of my daughter's took a drawing class too. She loved it and hopes to go back a few times a month for more.
Did you know that Michaels offers free classes in their stores? You can try out a new craft skill for just the cost of supplies.
Another great way to explore your creativity is by trying out a craft kit. Michaels has everything from sewing kits to art kits and everything in between.
