How to make your own reusable dryer sheets

These dryer sheets are super easy to make and they’re reusable!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Take the fabric or napkins and cut them into squares. Or use new lint-free wash cloths. Either will work.cut up fabric scraps
  2. Take your glass jar and pour approximately ½ cup of vinegar.add vinegar to jar
  3. Add your favorite essential oils and carefully swish to mix.add essential oils
  4. Roll your fabric scraps and place them into the jar and seal to save freshness and scent.roll up fabric and place in jar

Notes

Note, the fabric scraps will 100% fray over time unless you take a serger and seam up the edges. You can also “cheat” and use a liquid sealer which is much faster and easy to grab at the fabric store if you don’t have a serger or a sewing machine. Something like Liquid Stitch or No Fray Spray would work. Make sure to change up the scraps when fraying occurs (otherwise, you will have fun frays in your clean clothes, but that’s probably not the worst thing as a parent that I’ve found in my dryer before!).

  1. 1. Do you swish the jar around and around to distribute the scented vinegar onto the cloths? Seems like the bottoms would be wet and the tops or in the middle wouldn’t get any.
    2. Approximately how many drops of EO do you use in yours? (Just for a guide)
    3. Your recipe says there are 9 reviews, but where can I find them? I always like to read what others have to say about it. Thanks!

    1. Hi there!
      1. You could. But if you get decent cloths they sort of soak up the liquid upwards.
      2. That completely depends on how strong you like your fragrance to be. You could start with something like 10-20 drops and adjust.
      3. Reviews are currently set to private so only I can see them. Sorry.

  2. I have a question. It looks like you have the fabric standing in the jar, does the liquid just soak up into the fabric? How many times can one fabric cloth be used without going back in the jar with liquid? Do you just use them all and then restart with fresh mixture? Thank you. Love what you are doing here!
