Love farmhouse style? Decorating for fall? Then you’ll love these farmhouse fall decor ideas that you can steal for your own house!
It’s not quite fall yet, but autumn has definitely been on my mind. Since I’m thinking about it, I thought it might be fun to put together a roundup of our farmhouse fall decor ideas with our home tours, mantels, tablescapes and free printables to get you thinking about decorating for fall too!
6 Fall Home Tours
We’ve been blogging for a long, long time while living in three different homes. In that time, we’ve done several fall home tours (of various rooms, as well as the whole house on occasion). They’re filled with ideas you can use in your home!
Rustic Fall Tour – It was our first autumn in the backsplit and I had fun decorating with classic orange and creamy white.
Neutral Fall Home Tour – Once we’d lived in the backsplit a bit longer, I decided neutrals were way more my thing than bright fall decor.
Fall Home Tour with All Canadian Bloggers – Another neutral fall tour in the backsplit, but this one focused on our dining room and master bedroom.
Farmhouse Minimal Fall Home Tour – I decorated our two storey space with very minimal decor in neutral colors.
Naked Cake Fall Dining Room Tour – This was a stretch outside my norm of using pieces we already had. I bought fresh flowers and fruit and made a naked cake too!
Warm Farmhouse Entryway Tour – For this entryway, I incorporated far more color than ever! Although the base wall and floor color kept it from being too overwhelming.
5 Fall Table Settings
We swap hosting Thanksgiving with my sister each year, which means we’ve decorated a lot of fall tables! Here are our five of our favorites, with ideas you can use.
Rustic Orange Fall Table – This table was the first one that we used our DIY table box on. It was later featured in magazines, which was a pleasant shock!
How to Create a Layered Fall Table Setting – This post walks through setting up a layered table setting with lots of texture.
Fall Table Setting – 5 Ideas for a Simple Layered Fall Table – This is one plain and simple table setting that will work especially well if you have young kids.
Neutral Farmhouse Fall Table – Believe it or not that’s all fake foliage and those gold utensils are PLASTIC! ๐
Naked Cake Fall Tablescape – The focus of one of our fall tours, this naked cake tablescape was great fun to create!
3 Fall Mantels
Of course we have often changed our mantel shelf with the seasons, until we moved to this house and had a real fireplace mantel to decorate!
The Original Fall Mantel – This mantel is from way back in the archives at our bungalow. This was the original home of our mantel shelf.
Rustic Chic Fall Mantel – Filled to the max with rustic decor, including two banners, several candles and paper leaves.
Seasons of Home Fall Mantel – I made it my goal when decorating this mantel to buy nothing new!
3 Free Fall Printables
Of course, decorating for fall wouldn’t be complete without our free printables.

Love this little taste of fall. It has been triple digits here for days, so cooler weather and fall decorating sounds pretty dreamy right now.
Ooh, that’s warm. :/
I went into the craft store yesterday and much of their fall decor is out. I silently squealed with excitement. I endure spring and summer (because I have to!) just to make it through until fall and winter! LOVE your lil vignettes of fall and the creative ways in which you displayed them. Happy fall, y’all!
Happy almost fall, Robin.
Thanks for the recap!! Fall is my favourite time of the year… But where is summer?
Summer has been a little odd this year, hasn’t it?
I don’t care what month it is… I’m always looking forward to fall! Thanks for sharing all your great ideas! I can’t wait to get fall decorating!!

Great!
I’m so surprised to see to many Fall posts already!
We’re in the midst of heat here in Southern California . . . and I’m anxious for Fall!
So many beautiful and inspiring photos. Thanks for sharing!
Have a great week,
Suzanne
It’s funny…it hasn’t been that warm here this summer. So it’s not like we need a break from the heat. But fall and Christmas are my favorite times of year and they’re getting closer and closer!
Great look at Fall, tons of inspiration Shannon. Thanks for sharing it…

Oh man…… it’s too early but it’s so pretty! Would love for you to link this up later this week at Friday Favorites! laura
I know – a bit of summer left to enjoy!
I love the little chalkboards you have setting-one is by the teapot, another on the table. Can you tell me where you got those. MY grand-daughter says it this way “Grandma it’s all about the chalkboard for you.” While not necessarily true-she certainly knows her grandma:).
If you mean the little metal ones, my hubby made them. We’re working on a way to make them to sell. The prototypes are pretty heavy and would be expensive to ship. ๐
One thing I noticed right away is that all your fall decorating is timeless. Any of the ideas could be used at any time and any place. I found a few ideas that I am going to work into my fall decor. Thank you
