Believe me – I’m not quite ready for fall or fall decor yet! I actually kinda just starting to enjoy summer – swimming in the pool, sitting out on the deck in the evening with a cool drink, waking up with the sun.
But experience tells me, when seasonal decor arrives in-store, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. If you shop much at all, you know that ALL stores are ALWAYS ahead of the seasons. And if there’s any hope of getting the things you love, you have to pounce when the shelves are freshly stocked, or miss out entirely. Which is why I already have all my fall decor picked out, gathered and ready to display!
Although smaller than my admittedly excessive Christmas stash, my fall decor stash was already pretty decent. But I just couldn’t resist adding a few more fall goodies to my decorating collection.
Like this ‘In everything give thanks’ sign that I think I may just leave up all year round as a good reminder for all of us. (Update: I have left this sign up over our front hall closet for over a year!)
Of course fall isn’t fall without pumpkin spice everything, or so the internet tells me!
We’re also hosting Thanksgiving this year, so more garlands and faux pumpkins and gourds were required for the table centerpiece. And I found the cutest little burlap cutlery holders that will get used for Thanksgiving too!
I picked up these super soft throw pillows for the living room too. And even though they’re not in traditional fall colors, I think they’re a fun change. And these scented pine cones are fabulous! One of my favorite scents in the whole world is cinnamon, so these stay out from September to January and then get packed away in zippered freezer bags to keep their scent fresh until the next year.
And since the new house has double front doors, I had to get TWO matching wreaths for fall this year! (LOL. I love our front doors, but they’re actually a pain in my wallet because I have to buy two of every piece of decor for them…two decals, two wreaths for each season, two door knobs when we got new ones, etc.)
Now excuse me while I go float in the pool and soak up the last few weeks of summer, knowing I’m all ready to decorate once the fall weather hits!
Have you gotten your fall decor yet?
P.S. Check out how we used all these fall goodies in these posts:
