I don't think I've mentioned it here, but I'm really enjoying the fact that our kids are ‘big' now. I mean I've talked about how much I love babies, and how much I adored our kids when they were small. But now, as teenagers, they're just so much fun! I mean we can all bowl together, or ride go-carts, or go the movies. They can do just about everything Dean and I can do now.
For example, last week I was invited by Best Buy Canada to attend their Life and Tech event at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto. This is the third year for this free event which boasts over 60 tech exhibitors from around the world. But after spending the weekend before in bed with a scratched cornea, I was feeling a little wary of heading down by myself. I decided to bring the kids with me since the event was for all ages. I'm so glad I did, because we had so much fun!
(Don't tell them I shared that photo!)
The kids got to try out some fun Virtual Reality glasses by Retrak…
But of course I was there for the home related tech stuff…and Best Buy didn't disappoint!
We loved the Smart Home, with products from Sony, Google, Nest and Ring being among some of our favorites.
We even came home with a few items I've been coveting, particularly the Nest Learning Thermostat\!
I think Dean is going to be a busy boy installing all this goodness, don't you?!
Did you happen to visit the Best Buy Life and Tech event? Do you have any of our favorite smart home products at your house?
