It’s officially September and even though the weather is still quite warm in some places, it’s time to decorate for fall.
I’m starting with our dining room, because it’s such a fun space to decorate.
And I know for sure it will go through a few fall renditions before the season is through.
The bulk of the items used to set the table are from one of my favorite shopping spots – Birch Lane. I’ll include a resource list at the end of the post though just so you can find everything.
I also finally bought the chairs I’ve been eyeing for ages for the ends (heads?) of the table. I love how they cozy up the space.
And my other favorite things?
The white Milford dinnerware which is so beautifully charming and rustic I want to cry. (Picture the littlest one, Agnes, in the Minion movie when she says “it’s so fluffy I’m going to die!” and you’ve got me drooling over the plates and bowls.)
The new white Patterson flatware that is just so pretty next to the dinnerware.
And the turned candle sticks which I actually got from Birch Lane in the spring, but love them so much I’m always including them in decor shots!
I’m also loving the little wooden cake stand and the cotton wreath too!
I’m looking forward to cooler nights and all the scents of fall. How about you?

This is beautiful Shannon!
What is the color of the walls in the dining room?
There a source list on the blog and all our paint colours too. The dining room is Sherwin William’s Analytical Gray.

Love it! Just curious as to where you got (or how you made) those cute little pumpkins in the bowls?
Thank you for the continuing inspiration and beautiful eye candy!
Beautiful rustic fall dining room! I love everything about it, especially that cotton wreath. I’m enjoying this post so much, I keep going back to it, Lol!
I’m in love with your dining room! It’s beautiful, and home-y, and inviting and you even set the silverware the right way which is rare these days!! 🙂 If I bring dessert can I just come for a cup of coffee and sit there happily???
Loving this. Love the new Chairs.. WOW. Love fall smells. I live in the South. Today was so hot, 94. I have to wait until the middle of Sept. anyway. I did plant some fall flowers and put up some fall flags, but I will wait awhile for the pumpkins and such. I am a Penna. girl so I miss the change of seasons.
Your table is beautiful! And your new chairs are charming. I want to know if they are comfy to sit in for a meal. I have been looking at some like them for a while but haven’t decided. I have been in love with your dining room since the first time I saw your gray hutch. But the chalk board wall with the rustic light made me swoon.
Just Beautiful!
fantástico!
I have to agree with you, the dishes are yummy. Love the turned candle holders and the white pumpkin sitting on the wooden cake stand. Your table is beautifully set. Good job.
