I’m always amazed at how much a small update like a change of paint color or hanging curtains can make in a room.
Take our living room for instance.
It was okay after we moved in. A little plain, maybe. But livable.
Then we changed out the sofa and chair for two love seats.
Then we rearranged.
And this weekend we added some drop cloth curtains.
Plain. Simple.
And yet the room somehow feels more finished. Well, all except for the pillows that need covers on the couch. And the baseboards. But we’ll get to those.
Have you added any little touches at your house lately? Or have you tried your own drop cloth curtains?
I do like your curtains, they soften up you window just a little. Your living room looks beautiful Shannon, very comfortable looking too!
I’m really starting to move toward plain and simple… sort of. Maybe. Ha!
LOVE your curtains. I just made some similar out, but I’ve yet to get my rear in gear and photograph them. Sigh.
Howya doin’ chickie???
Hi, your room looks great!
What are are the walls? I really like the colour.
Sorry, I mean what color are the walls…lol
To be honest I’m not sure about the living room color…it was here when we moved! It’s also one of two rooms we haven’t repainted in the whole house!
So pretty, Shannon! I love the love seats too! x
Danielle, the bonus is the love seats are SO comfy!!!
Im assuming you made these from drop cloth? I can’t sew a stitch ๐ and I have high ceilings and need 96″ curtains. I was thinking Ikea?
Speaking of, are those Ikea Ektorp love seats? They look like same style. They are beautiful! Nice choice!
Yes, drop cloth is what we used to make these curtains. Ikea is a great place to get tall curtains. But these drop cloth curtains were no-sew as well…we used hem tape and an iron! And nope, not Ektorp (although we do love the Ektorp). We bought them second-hand this spring. Glad you like them!
