Sometimes real greenery just isn’t in the cards. Deck the halls with faux greenery instead with these ideas from our house!
The Holidays are my absolute favorite time of the year. The twinkle lights, warm cinnamon scents and all the beautiful greenery. Sigh. #thebest And with us moving into the new house this particular Holiday Season, decking the halls is even more fun!
Deck the Halls with Faux Greenery and Other Finds
Much of our decor is the same and came with us from the ‘old’ house. The armchairs are new to us though. They’re Ikea Ektorp chairs that we found on Kijiji for $80 each!
For Christmas decor we are reusing several pieces (of course!) but we also had the opportunity to Make it Merry with Michaels with new faux greenery garlands and new stockings.
Aren’t the stockings with their combination of cable knit and faux fur so cozy?
There’s even a stair railing to decorate here! And we’ll be adding more touches of red just as soon as I find a few minutes to unpack those boxes with the kids!
As you can see we’re going a little lighter with paint in much of this house. Which makes me very happy because just about any color accents will work!
We’ve been busy painting (I wore paint clothes for three days straight last week and I’m not even done the main floor yet!), switching out door hardware and changing light fixtures. We’ve got so many exciting projects in the works to share with you.
In the mean time, deck the halls with faux greenery. Merry Christmas and have FUN!
