Our wall mantel is the first place to get hit with summer decor. And this year it's all about the coastal summer mantel. Plus 11 Ideas for your own coastal style decorating!
June is the month in which summer officially starts. It gets hot, kids are out of school and the days seem more relaxed. What do I do when June comes? Decorate. Go figure. Today I'm sharing my coastal summer mantel!
Our Coastal Summer Mantel
Our wall mantel is the first place to get hit with summer decor. And this year it's all about the coastal summer mantel. I used mostly elements from last year's mantel – faux plants, scrap wood sailboats and a light house style lantern.
I added the little painted canvas from Homesense, a straw hat from the dollar store as well as drift wood, a fisherman's knot and starfish from Michaels.
And of course Oliver is still presiding over the living room from his perch on the wall.
