In this post: This Spring we kept the decor very simple, with just a few tiny hints of pink in old throw pillows and faux florals. Come see our pretty Spring home tour!
Home is more important now than it’s ever been. Which is why I’m loving our pretty spring home tour, with very simple reusable decor!
Welcome! I’m Shannon!
If you’ve been here before, welcome back! I’m so happy you’re here and I can’t wait for you to see our pretty Spring home tour!
If you’re new here, I’m also super happy to “see” you! I’m Shannon and I’m the main face you’ll see at Home Made Lovely.
That doesn’t mean it’s just me running things…I’ve got a great team working behind the scenes to help me.
The Home Made Lovely team includes other business-inclined moms working from home to help me with content creation ideas and tech stuff, my teenagers who do everything from data entry on the business side of things to video editing and Pinterest pin creation on the front end of things. Plus, my best friend and hubby, Dean, who helps with shooting video, DIY projects and the housework tasks I really suck at, like laundry!
With all of that support, Home Made Lovely exists to help women like you to make home your happy place!
My Promise to You Right Now
To say things are a little weird and crazy out there right now is an understatement. And I truly hope that when I look back on this Spring home tour next year, that things are back to “normal.” Or at the very least, not quite so unknown and up in the air.
No matter what’s happening “out there”, I always want this space to be positive and uplifting.
I make a deliberate effort to give you awesome solutions and answers to home decor, organizing and food questions. And I strive to offer everything I possibly can to help you truly make home your happy place.
I’m keenly aware of how saturated the online world is is right now with stats, and bad news and speculations. And I do NOT want to add to any of that stress in your life.
In light of this, I’ve been working with my team this week to come up with relevant, super helpful resources for you.
So, over the next little while, I will be creating and updating even more content that will help you make the most of your home and your life at home, that will be especially helpful to you NOW…but also well into the future.
And we’ll be doing this as much as possible without actually talking about that thing that’s taken over the media!
In other words, I will be keeping this space happy, helpful, and faith-filled.
I appreciate you more than you know and I genuinely want you to love your home.
So, let’s get on with our pretty Spring home tour, shall we?
Our Pretty Spring Home Tour
I’m mostly going to share photos with you for the tour. I didn’t buy anything new. I just used what we had, including faux florals and also a couple of blush pink toss pillow covers that I’ve had for a couple of years.
I had actually bought fabric to make new throw pillows and some placemats. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite get to making them (with the new sewing machine Dean bought me at Christmas) in time for the tour.
Something to do later, I guess!
Our Spring Entry
The only thing I did in our entryway was to put everyone’s boots and coats in the closet. Lol. And I hung the pretty pink scarf just for fun. ๐

Our Spring Dining Room
From our entry, you step up into our dining room.
As you may notice there are birthday decorations up. This was shot on my birthday, and Dean had put up the decor (I always put up for birthdays) that morning. I didn’t have the heart to take them down for pics, so I mostly just shot around them.
For spring decor in the dining room, I mainly just put away the winter stuff. I didn’t create a tablescape or anything, since we seem to be using the dining room table to play family games at every night lately.

Our Spring Living Room
In the living room, I brought back our DIY Faux Floral Crate and a couple of pink throw pillows we have had for years.
Lol. Notice, we didn’t even get around to drawing anything on the chalkboard. Sheesh.

Our Spring Master Bedroom
We haven’t shared our master bedroom as part of a tour for ages. Mainly because it’s never quite tidy. But since I started doing my devotionals up there in January, I’ve been keeping it tidier. And Dean has been amazing at folding clothes every weekend so they don’t live in baskets for the week! Ha!

Video Tour: Our Spring Home
So, some of the house got cleaned up for our pretty Spring tour. But a few spaces were sort of as is when I shot photo and video. Which you’ll see in the video…the girls were making soup in the kitchen. And after that they planned to make brownies for my birthday – which was yesterday. So, there really wasn’t any point in cleaning the kitchen to take pretty pictures! Besides not much decor in the kitchen changes with the seasons anyway. ๐
