We all have stressors during the holidays and this month the Michaels Makers were asked to come up with creative and fun holiday hacks and tips to help relieve some of that stress and make holiday entertaining and prepping fun!
We were given 5 common holiday hiccups to choose from and I went with last minute Christmas gift basket ideas.
3 Last Minute Christmas Gift Basket Ideas
Sometimes pre-packaged gift baskets can leave a lot to be desired in the useful or actually wanted category of gift-giving.
And sometimes the weight of choosing a single fabulous gift can be overwhelming.
So instead I’ve come up with a few really simple Christmas gift basket ideas for three different gift-recievers: kids, hostesses and Christmas lovers.
Christmas Table/ Hostess Gift Basket
If you have a friend or relative who is hosting this year, why not take them a crate or basket full of table top goodies. Things like chargers, candle sticks, place markers and place cards. Maybe even a few napkin rings or lids and straws that turn mason jars in to festive cups.
Fill in the crate with wide ribbon or burlap that can be used as a table runner too.
This is perfect at Christmas time, but it works just as well all year long if you swap out the Christmas chargers for plainer versions.
Tip: Don’t forget to check the wedding section at Michael’s for unique place markers and candle holders!
Kid’s Christmas Gift Basket
Have you got kids on your Christmas list that you’re not sure what to buy for?
Well how about a whole crate full of creative fun like fabric markers and t-shirts, model cars to build or toy animals to add to their collection. Maybe a craft kit or two to make their own quilt or stylish headphones to replace their boring old ear buds!
The kids Christmas gift basket is also perfect as a family gift for nieces and nephews, yes?
Tip: Don’t forget the glue and paint for the model car if needed. Check the box for what’s included and what’s not.
Rustic Christmas Gift Basket
Oh for the love of all things rustic-Christmas!
Use a crate as the gift basket (that can be used later when stained or painted as decor too!) and fill it with old looking signs, marquee lights, on-trend wooden arrows, mini Christmas trees, a clock and a few rustic ornaments and you’re set to make someone’s Christmas a little more festive and jolly!
Tip: Don’t forget to get batteries for any marquee lights or clocks so they can be used and enjoyed right away!
So, do you give gift baskets as gifts? Do you have any Christmas gift basket ideas of your own?
